ABOUT CASEY
The first story I remember writing was in the second grade. My elementary school would bind our stories for us and we would illustrate them. Looking back, this was such a rare opportunity, and I still have those books packed away somewhere. From then on, I always wrote, though things kicked into high gear in seventh grade and never really slowed down. I earned my MFA in Fiction from Adelphi University.
I'm a working writer and mom. By day I work in corporate marketing communications and at night I spend quality time with my family.
About my writing
I love to write love stories and stories that focus on the intricacies of relationships--whether they be romantic, familial or friendship. My stories focus on the quiet, inner workings of women and how everything in their lives leads them to exactly where they are, whether they like it or not.
My characters are generally around my age, whatever that may be at a given time. They've grown with me, and I tend to sneak characters from one book into another if I can without it being too heavy handed. It's a nod to people who will catch it and doesn't throw the ones who won't.
