Tell us about your novel.
Forever With You is a contemporary romance set in the fictional small town of Sapphire Springs. Leyna Milan has taken over the family restaurant only to discover that a clause in her grandfather’s will forces her to open a second location at a local vineyard operated by her first love, Jay Wynter, who she hasn’t seen since the day he broke her heart. It’s a blend of second chance and enemies to lovers, and the first book in my Sapphire Springs series.
Whose in your dream cast?
Leyna Milan – Alyssa Milano
Jay Wynter – Jason Thompson
What are your interests outside of writing?
I’ve always had a lot of non-writing interests. Lately, between deadlines, day job, and parenting, I just don’t have time for any of them! If I did have the time, I’d try to get back into playing guitar. I’d read more, and binge watch the occasional series. I’d also love to spend more time cooking and gardening.
What are you currently working on?
Right now, I’m working on Book 3 in my Sapphire Springs series, which has yet to be named. It’s about a woman who inherits a landmark property from estranged relatives. What I love about this book is how it delves into the history of the town (particularly in the 1920s) and ties in a lot of the quirky side characters. It’s set to release in Spring 2022.
What are you reading lately?
I’ve been binge watching Virgin River, and had never read the books, so I quickly got my hands on book 1 and plan to devour the entire series.
Barb Curtis’ love for writing began with a quick-witted style column. The switch to fiction came with the decision to pair her creativity with her love for words, and crafting characters and settings she could truly get lost in. Barb happily lives in a bubble in rural New Brunswick with her husband, daughter, and dog. You’ll find her restoring the century-old family homestead, weeding the garden, and whistling the same song all day long.
